Bleu Orleans

bleu orleans

Today (Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017), come and Celebrate Black Creole Culture at Dillard University. First, it's the premiere of Bleu Orleans, a film that has been a part of a three-year project about the wealth of culture in the Gentilly neighborhood of New Orleans, and how Dillard has impacted it. The documentary starts at 2 p.m., in Georges Auditorium and that's followed by Kevin Dunn, a Dillard employee, folk artist, a tradition Bearer, who creates elaborate sashes and fans of gathered ribboning and sewing for Social & Pleasure Clubs. Dunn will be honored at 4 p.m., for his 30 plus years of contributions to New Orleans Culture.
