The EBSCOHOST Research Databases are provided by LOUIS, a consortium of public and
private college and university libraries in the state of Louisiana. This partnership
was formed in 1992 by the library deans and directors at these institutions, in order
to create a cost-effective collaboration among the institutions for the procurement
of library technology and resources. LOUIS is governed by the LOUIS Management Board

The JSTOR (Journal Storage) Research Database is a highly selective digital library
of academic content in many formats and disciplines. The collections include top peer-reviewed
scholarly journals as well as respected literary journals, academic monographs, research
reports from trusted institutes, and primary sources. JSTOR journal, book, and primary
source collections are integrated on a single, robust platform that uses the latest
digital technologies and best practices.
The ProQuest Research Database collections span six centuries, all disciplines and
the diverse content types needed by researchers, providing the world’s largest collection
of dissertations and theses; three centuries of newspapers; more than 450,000 academic
ebooks; collections of important scholarly journals and other content researchers
need such as data and unique digital vaults of primary source materials.
The mission of the Dillard University Will W. Alexander Library Information Literacy
Instruction (ILI) Program is to teach and assist members of the Dillard University
community how to find, evaluate, and use information more effectively. The goal of
the Dillard University Will W. Alexander Information Literacy Instruction (ILI) classes are to support collaboration with faculty
in teaching and learning. Information literacy skills will help students be successful
not only in their classes and majors at Dillard University, but as life-long learners.
