The Dillard University Institutional Review Board (IRB) is a group of individuals charged with reviewing proposed research involving human subjects to ensure the protection of those subjects and compliance with federal human subjects regulations (CFR 45 PART 46).
The primary mission of the Dillard University IRB is to ensure the protection of rights, privacy and welfare of all human participants in research programs conducted by associated faculty, professional staff, and students. To achieve this mission, the IRB will review all planned research involving human subjects prior to initiation of the research, approve research that meets established criteria for protection of human subjects, and monitor approved research to ascertain that human subjects are indeed protected.
