NEW ORLEANS — Dillard University’s visual arts students have created an animation that will be featured in Arts New Orleans’ Luna Fête. The event is December 15 – 18 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The student piece entitled, “Art Chief” (listed as the working title “Muriele and the Moonchief)” is located at the intersection of John Churchill Chase Street and Convention Center Boulevard in front of the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Visual arts professor Patricia Bernstein and a team of three Dillard students:  Emmanuel BruinsCoraniquejuanae Jackson and Robyn Myres worked together to create the “Art Chief” animation. Bernstein describes the animation as an “exciting project” for she and her students. “We hope the story inspires other young artists to stay true to their creative voices and persevere through hardship,” Bernstein said.
