Dillard University student with laptopThe School of Business Administration provides quality education to students majoring in Business Administration. These students receive a broad-based business education that prepares them for entrepreneurship and careers in international business, management or marketing.

While Business Administration is the major for all students in the school, students must select a concentration in either International Business, Management, Marketing or Supply Chain Management (Fall 2021). This curriculum is designed to provide students with a solid foundation of business knowledge that will allow them to compete effectively in a global business environment.  

International Business Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – International Business Concentration, graduates will be able to:

  • Discuss the cultural impact on international business and recommend ways to do business in the global marketplace.
  • Apply relevant skills to identify ethical and social responsibility problems and propose appropriate solutions

Management Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Management Concentration, graduates will be able to:

  • Demonstrate and apply basic knowledge of the functions of management – planning, organizing, leading and controlling.
  • Demonstrate the skills to identify entrepreneurial opportunities and the motivation to pursue them.

Marketing Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Marketing Concentration, graduates will be able to:

  • Demonstrate and apply marketing mix variables – product, distribution, promotion and price.
  • Prepare and deliver professional and effective business presentations which incorporate appropriate technologies.

Supply Chain Management Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Supply Chain Management Concentration, graduates will be able to:

  • Analyze forecast inventory needs and build a logistics plan to meet demand.
  • Assess the costs and logistical requirements of setting up a physical goods supply chain.
  • Utilize popular methodologies (such as six sigma) to make practical decisions in the area of sourcing.
  • Solve real-world supply chain management problems and clearly articulate end-to-end considerations for any proposed solution.
