NEW ORLEANS—This week, Tiffany Murphy joined Dillard University as director of residential life. Murphy brings to Dillard more than ten years of experience in housing operations and residential education. Previously, she worked both as an assistant area coordinator and as an assistant director of housing and residence life for a community of more than 2,000 students at the University of Memphis.
Murphy’s background also includes high school science instruction for twelve years with the Shelby County Schools System in Memphis, Tennessee. In addition, she served as a department chair and facilitated professional development for multiple educational initiatives. A first-generation college student, Murphy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Memphis and a Master of Science in education from Arkansas State University.
