Dillard University, in collaboration with Global Gateways, proudly announces the HBCU Summer Scholarship for the International Summer: Guadalajara, Mexico program. This initiative is designed to enrich the educational journey of Dillard University students through a unique study abroad experience in May to late June 2024 at ITESO University.
The International Summer program by Global Gateways caters to scholars from HBCUs, offering a month-long immersion at ITESO University. This program enables students to join a global classroom environment, emphasizing the development of intercultural communication, academic adaptability, and language skills. Scholarship benefits include tuition for one course (equivalent to four US credits), housing, passport fees, pre-departure Spanish lessons, orientation activities, and a welcome dinner, all aimed at fostering a comprehensive international learning experience.

Scholarship Details
A select number of scholarships are available, intended to defray costs related to tuition for one class, housing, and passport fees. Scholars will also receive an English-translated transcript from ITESO. Excluded from the scholarship are airfare, meals, personal expenditures, and any additional financial commitments.
Eligibility and Application
- Requirement of having completed two full semesters with sophomore status and a minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Must be a current student at an HBCU in good standing.
- The application process includes online submission, a transcript (unofficial is acceptable), and the ability to participate throughout the program’s duration from May to late June.
- Application deadline is February 29, 2024.
