Young Scholars Environmental Camp
Whether it is learning a new and exciting skill, exploring outdoors, or preparing for the upcoming academic year, Dillard has a program for all ages and interests. At Dillard University, our summer program offers every participant an enjoyable and enriching summer experience in a physically safe, emotionally supportive and fun-filled environment. During this 5 weeks enrichment program, our commitment is to nurture character development in our campus through the four core values of the Young Scholars Environmental Camp (YSEC): Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
Our commitment to nurturing the potential of children and teens, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility comes alive at Young Scholars Environmental Camp. Whether it is learning about plants, pollution, various ecosystems, landscaping or wetlands etc., students can change the world and join the global conservation effort through our program.
The Young Scholar Environmental Camp is designed to meet the unique needs and interests of children and youth. Young campers will participate in their favorite sports promoting health and the development of important social skills. Explore environmental interests that could lead to rewarding careers. Getting an early taste of college life and the value of academic achievement; engage in dynamic; hands-on learning experiences that enable growth and success; be involved with environmental demonstrations by guest speakers; participate in environmental science field trips; meet peers with similar interests and build new friendships and have fun and create memories to last a lifetime.
Grade Level: 1st grade – 6th grade
