Louisiana Alliance for Minority Participation
The Louis Stokes Louisiana Alliance for Minority Participation (LS-LAMP) is one of 34 National Science Foundation Alliance Programs nationwide. This comprehensive, statewide coordinated program is aimed at substantially increasing the number and quality of minority students receiving baccalaureate degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and, subsequently, increasing the number of minority students entering graduate schools to earn doctoral degrees in STEM fields. The basic, statewide strategy is the replication and enhancement of exemplary mentoring and outreach programs.

The Dillard University Louisiana Alliance for Minority Participation (DU LS-LAMP) is now accepting applications for participation into its 2012-2013 academic year program. Admission into the program is open to all Science, Technology, and Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) majors in the STEM School of STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics. You must be a US citizen. A minimum GPA of 2.5 in the major or an overall GPA of 3.0 is required to be a Level I LAMP Scholar.
To be considered for this program, please complete this application and return to Dr. Bernard Singleton, Assistant Director, of the LAMP Program. The deadline to receive applications for the Fall of 2012 is Friday, September 14, 2012. Please observe this date.
