Scholar Val 2017
Every year, students have the opportunity to display the results of their undergraduate research projects at Scholar Val, the Festival of Scholarship. Students from Psychology, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Political Science and Urban Studies and Public Policy participated in the event. Professors, visitors and Dillard faculty and staff members enjoyed interacting with students and witnessing their research efforts come to life through poster presentations and discussion. The event took place in DUICEF on April 12, 2017 from 8:00am to Noon.
Topics included psychological perspectives on urban living; community policing; relationships; land use policy; equine therapy and many, many more.
"Scholar Val was good exposure to the research atmosphere. A lot of people who came to listen to my presentation had never heard of my topic before and thought it was a good research," said Nichrissha Wiggs, class of '18.
