Dr. Williams is an inspiring motivated achiever who is recognized for performance, excellence, integrity and innovation with best practices through disciplined attention in achieving immediate and long-term goals and objectives. As a higher education professional with over 25 years of experience, she has the passion for students and their success as they matriculate towards graduation and meeting the demands of this changing world.

 

Dr. Williams has taught, recruited and provided counseling services and support to disadvantaged, potential first-generation students and at risk students in higher education and her community. She believes in actively collaborating with the University community, faculty and staff as well as students to ensure quality students' academic orientation and transition. Dr. Williams has held numerous positions in her tenure in higher education--positions that have required her to be a self- starter, multi-tasker, organized and true team player.

 

As a higher education professional, Dr. Williams has a passion for students and their success as they matriculate towards graduation and meeting the demands of this changing world. She has held numerous positions since receiving her terminal degree from Jackson State University. Dr. Williams is the internship coordinator in the Department of Public Health. Dr. Williams holds an M.Ed., M.P.H. and Ph.D.

 

Her goal is to serve as an innovative administrator to help effect change while meeting the challenges of students, as they matriculate and move towards graduation in a process of discovering their true passion in life.
