Theatre is about more than the stage and seeing your name in lights. Theatre helps to build the critical career skills of oral communication, collaboration, resilience, people skills and organization while building confidence through creative and cultural expression. The oldest HBCU degree-granting theatre program in the country, Dillard's rigorous program consists of two degree plans:  Performance and Theatre Technology. Dillard Theatre alumni have earned graduate degrees from such institutions as California Institute of the Arts, Julliard, New York University, Pace University, Southern Methodist University and Carnegie Mellon University.
